1st. It’s a misty day with puddles everywhere. There are people with really wet shoes.

2ND . When I was talking to Asher, Ethan said “Cameron, Do you like rainy days?”
“No, because then I can’t go on my scooter,” I said
“Ok,” he said.

3rd . I don’t like rainy days because you get stuck inside. All I do is watch movies and play on the computer.

Miniball Skills

Miniball Skills.
Last Tuesday we did Miniball skills with Faye. Our class (Room4) had to get a partner and my partner was Ethan. Our partners had to throw the basketball to us. We had to do heaps of different throws and bounces.

After that skill we played a game of piggy in the middle. Ethan and I had to have another couple for the game. After that game we played a friendly game of miniball. There were two games, one was harder with mini basketball hoops and there was a easier game with hula-hoops.
It was fun.

Cross Country at Kina

On Monday this week we did running with Tasman school. We did it at Kina. It was fun because it was short and there were heaps of holes in the ground.
We had to run through rocks, a forest and grass. There was this guy who ran in bare feet.
I was really puffed when I finished.
There was also this year 7 or 8 and he was half the height of me and other people. I think I came in 5th place and I reckon my running was good.

The Accident

While Room 3 and 4 were practicing the cross-country run I was coming in 5th place and I was at the corner
Suddenly there was screeching tyres and a loud bang on the highway.
So, then I ran faster to get around the corner. I saw a truck and 2 cars down the end. I kept running to get to the end.  I got there and Mrs. Rolls was trying to help them get out but she couldn’t, so she called 111 for the fire truck, ambulance and the police.
When they arrived the police officers stopped the traffic and guided them around the crash. The fire officers got the jaws of life out and carefully got the passengers and the drivers out of the cars and the fertilizer truck.
The police officers called the rescue helicopter and then that arrived.

The Interns

Yesterday the Interns came and we made cards for them to thank them for everything they have done.  When they got here we gave the cards to them.  I made a card for Josiah because he is ‘the’ man.
We played long ball for the game because Dave wasn’t there.
After that Ryan had his whip here so he was using that and he said, “Someone hold this flower up,” and Jayden Frost ran up and Mrs Rolls said, “Noooo, Jayden!” and we all laughed.
And then Mrs Rolls said thanks for coming and Miss Aldridge said, “Hip Hurrah, Hip Hurrah, Hip Hurrah!” and then we went inside and they left and that was it.

The Wolf and Grandma

When the Wolf went inside Grandma’s house, Grandma was in the kitchen.
She heard a noise at the front door and she saw the Wolf. The Wolf said, “Hello, what are you making in the kitchen?”
“I’m making porridge, and there is enough for 2,” said Grandma. “Would you like some?”
“Oooo goody,” said the Wolf. “So, where is this porridge?”
“It’s in the kitchen,” said Grandma. “Come on.”
The Wolf and Grandma had porridge that day.

Big Walk

Last Friday we went for a walk in the Abel Tasman National Park.  Room 4 went earlier to go to Apple Tree Bay and then to Tin Line Bay to have lunch with Room 1, 2, 3, but my favourite part was sitting down after the big walk.  It felt so good to sit down and relax!

My other favourite part was playing on the big rocks at Apple Tree Bay. There was this huge cave at Tin Line Bay too and mostly everyone went in it.

I had heaps and heaps of water at the start of the trip and I had the school camera. I took about 8 photos

After we had lunch, we walked back to the buses and waited for the other people and then went home.

More Awesome Things - Getting the Stars

Isn’t it weird how you go in a dark room for a long time and when you go to a light room you see stars for some reason and you’re looking around.

Then you open and close your eyes. And it’s weird how it happens.

AWESOME!!!!

Awesome Thing - Getting Steak Out of Your Teeth

Don’t you love it when you get some big juicy steak off your plate and you take a bite…….mmmm. But when you finish it you feel a piece of steak in your teeth.

You try to get it out with your tongue... that doesn’t work.  You try again and again then your tongue hurts.   You use your fingers…that hurts, but still doesn’t work. You use dental floss and that just cuts your gum.

You just get sick of it.  You sit down and watch TV.

One hour later you use your tongue again  and it comes out.

AWESOME!!!!!.

Last Friday Room 3 and 4 went survival swimming in pyjamas and clothes at St Peter Chanel.  It was fun.  We had a ball.

We discovered that it was extremely difficult to swim in heavy clothes.

Here are some photos to show you what we did:

“I’m flying”

We were talking about safety swimming…some of us got an F

For the People of Christchurch

We wanted to let the people of Christchurch know that we are thinking of them and praying for them, so we decided to each use our strengths to encourage them.

From Karene

Dear Christchurch,

We hope that all the people who are trapped will be able to get out alive and that there will be no more earthquakes, so you can clean up the city.

We have heard about the robberies and feel sorry for you because you do not deserve any more grief than there already is.

From Hannah

May God give you "the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair".  Isaiah 61:3

                            Dear Lord Jesus
Christchurch has just had a very bad experience of a 6.3Earthquake. May you please help all the family and friends that are trapped in buildings and I pray that Christchurch will stop having earthquakes.
May you please bless everybody living in Christchurch and that you will heal all the people that are in hospital from having buildings
collapse on them.

Dear People of Christchurch,
I have heard about the earthquake. I’m glad people from different countries are helping people get out of rubble.
I’m very sorry if you have loved ones who have died or are still trapped.
I’m sorry for some of you that have lost your jobs in Christchurch I’m sorry if you got hurt in the earthquake.
We are thinking of you praying for you and raising money for you.
