I made a poster because I had to chose to make something for homework. Then make a plan and make it.

I made a poster by getting the information from the internet and buying card from the shop.

Nelsomathics

Our class is entering Nelsomathics.

We have practiced twice. First we get into groups of 4 and there are about 5 teams. I am the runner for our group because I am the fastest. Then Mr Matthews gives each group a question and we have to answer it, when we answer it correctly, we go back to Mr Matthews. If we get it correct he gives us a new question if we get it wrong I have to go back to my group and we have to try answer it correctly. Then whichever group gets the most answers correct at the end of the time wins.

40 Hour Famine sleep over.

On Wednesday the 12th of June Room 4 had a sleep over at school for the 40 Hour Famine. This year we are raising money for Papua New Guinea. Thank you Liam P and Pamela for organizing it. Room 4 and teachers had a great time. We played spotlight, it was so fun we played about 3 rounds. I didn't get found on the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

We also watched a couple of movies we watched Wreck-it Ralph at night, and in the morning we watched Jumanji. They are both awesome movies but I liked Wreck-it Ralph better.

My favourite part of the sleep over was spotlight.

Summer Sports

On 26^th March room 4 went to the Rec centre for summer sports.

Ultimate Frisbee is a game where there are two teams one team throws the Frisbee. Then the other team catches it then the team with the Frisbee has to get a player and the Frisbee into the half circle at the end of the court.  Then they get a point.        

Touch is a game where there are two different teams one team has the rugby ball. Then they have to try get past all the players without getting touched. If you get touched you have to roll the ball in-between you’re legs. Then a player from the same team has to grab the ball then pass it. If you get past all the players and  get to the try line, put the ball down, you have scored a try.

Volleyball is a game with two teams. One team has to start with the ball then one person has to serve the ball over the net.  Then the other team has to try to hit it back over the net if it hits the ground you or the other team get a point.

I enjoyed touch because I scored two tries and saved a couple of tries too.

MOTEC

Motueka technology education centre. on a wensday yr 7&8's go to parkland's school hall and we do one subject a term. This term the yr 8's are doing bags for my bag i used

Availll

This term we have been doing availll. Availll is when a class watches a movie and read the subtittles.
When the teacher pauses the movie, you have to write the subtittle before it. At the end you give your work to the teacher and the teacher marks it most of the time. We do all sorts of different activities and they most of them are really fun .

Athletics day

 On Saturday 10th November the whole school went to Athletics at the Upper Moutere domain, it was a fun day.
 It was a very hot sunny day. We done really well in the fastest girl, Risi came second.For the  Second fastest boy  Andre  came third.  In the fastest boy  Fletcher  came fourth. Well done to those people. We won  three shelds the first sheld was for best score for high jump and long jump. The second sheld was for best sprints for 10 years and over. The last sheld was for best score overall. well done TBCS.

MOTEC (camp stool)

This term year 7&8's have been going to MOTEC on a Wednesday. This term the year 7's have been making camp stools. Just about everybody has finished their camp stool. I like Pamela's camp stool the best because it has a blue nylon cover. The year 8's have been making bags. Everyone has finished except one or two people. I like Risi's bag is the best it is checkered black and white with a blue pocket.

Harold

On Friday the 4th we went to see Harold. We talked about what to do and what not to do
and what drugs and smoking dose to your body and life. we got to lisen to Harolds song and in the song there where little aliens. After that we got a braclet. then we left. By Liam W

the unkown warrier

I found it interesting I liked is at the end where you talked about you bringing him home from caterpillar valley cemetery in France. It was cool when the 49 bells rang when we left. The unknown warrior was a great way to be able to learn about the war. I think that the way the tom was set out was really cool.
