Free Rice

This term we have been going on Free Rice where we can do our basic facts and every question we get correct they give 10 grains to the poor and 100 grains feeds 1 person.


Our class has fed:186 people
I have fed: 21 people


It is run by "United Nations World Food Program"
and the rice goes to "Syria".

Caleb's Homework

For homework we needed to create something, I chose to make a bird feeder. I made it out of timber and a lemonade bottle, First I stuck the two pieces of timber together with screws, then I put holes in the bottle and filled it up with bird seed and stuck it to the timber with hot glue. Then I nailed I to the fence.

 

This term our topic is "God is with us and He wants us to be courageous" and everyone in Room 4 made a poster about "courageous" and this is the one that Levi and I made.

Crossword

In class we do a bible crossword about 2 or 3 times a week and today Mr Matthews joined in as well and he thought his was the best.

Devotions

I have made a presentation about the sun for devotions. In devotions we have been learning about "God is our provider" and one of the things that he provided is the sun, that is why I chose it.

The sun is a star that burns on gas. In the Bible It says that God made the sun to light the earth. The sun heats the earth and plants couldn't grow with out the sun.

Genesis 1:14-19 NIV

¹⁴ And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, ¹⁵ and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. ¹⁶ God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. ¹⁷ God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, ¹⁸ to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. Chocolate Day!

On Wednesday 10th July 2013 Room 4 had a chocolate day to celebrate how well we have done in Geometry. We all brought something to share with the class there were things like cake, blocks of chocolate, brownie, and cookies. When we first got to school we all put all the food on the table and then we went to MoTEC. When we got back we put the movie ‘Despicable Me’ and ate most of the chocolate, it was lots of fun and there was still a little bit of chocolate left the next day.

Class Sleepover!

On Wednesday 12th June 2013 Room 4 had a sleepover in our class to learn more about
Papua New Guinea, where the money that we earned for the 40 Hour Famine is going. We also played spotlight and watched two movies, one before bed and one in the morning. We had lots of snacks like popcorn, lollies and cookies. For dinner we had sausages and hot chips. In the morning we woke up and the adults said we could play on our laptops, phones and iPods. It was lots of fun!

Summer Sports

On Tuesday 26^th March room 4 went to summer sports at the Rec Centre. We had two teams TBCS1 and TBCS2.First my team played Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate Frisbee is a bit like netball but with a Frisbee, we had lots of fun. We got 5/5 for fair play every time.We only won 1 game. Second we took part in Touch. We had 6 people on the field at one time. At the start we didn’t spread out so we didn’t do as well. At the end we got really good. Some schools were really good at playing touch and we didn’t beat them. Volleyball was lots of fun. Volleyball is a game that you try and keep the ball off the ground. You have 6 people on the court at one time. We were really good, we won most of our games. After volleyball we went back to school.

I worked with Levi we mad a cheese crust it was lots of fun.
